EPIC Cheer & Dance Information Packet
Welcome to the 2026–2027 EPIC Placement!
Our Full Season Teams are the premier competitive teams within the EPIC Cheer & Dance Academy program. These teams demand a high level of commitment, discipline, and dedication from both athletes and families. Evaluations and placements take place in May, with the season ending in May.
Membership includes 1–2 mandatory team practices per week, mandatory weekly tumbling, required camps and choreography sessions, and close attention to attendance and behavior. Parent involvement is required to support athlete success and team consistency.
Teams are determined by the skills and experience of new and returning athletes. Coaches consider current skill level, demonstrated progression, coachability, work ethic, performance readiness, team needs, level balance, and long-term developmental goals. Selected athletes may represent EPIC at national-level events and pursue bids to THE ONE Finals and US Finals.
Recreational teams include Novice Level 1 (6 & under), 8 & Under, 10 & Under, 12 & Under, 14 & Under, and Senior (ages 10–18). We welcome athletes from age 2.5 when they can follow directions, through age 18. Recreational Cheer is a year-round program designed for steady skill development and readiness for performances and events.
Beginning in mid-May, athletes have multiple open gym evaluation opportunities in March and April. Athletes are evaluated in tumbling, stunting, jumps, flexibility, coachability, and ability to take corrections. They learn a short dance for placements and work with coaches to finalize the best tumbling pass for tryouts.
Monday, May 18: Ages 7–11, 6:00–8:30 PM. Tuesday, May 19: Ages 12–16, 6:00–8:30 PM. Wednesday, May 20: All Ages (Walk-Ins), 6:00–7:30 PM. Thursday, May 21: Ages 3–6, 6:00–7:30 PM. Stomp N Shake, ages 12–18: time TBD.
If your child has never cheered before, we are excited to train them from the very beginning. Our staff is committed to teaching athletes everything they need to know to become successful all-star cheerleaders. We promise your athlete will have an amazing, rewarding experience at EPIC Cheer & Dance Academy!
